Enterprise Areas
CHILD CARE AND FAMILY RECREATION-McLeod Enterprises's child care and family recreation segment focuses on services to children and families. We currently operate 10 HoneyTree Early Learning Centers that provide child care for children ages 6 weeeks to 12 years. We also operate The Splash Swimming Club and Star City Roller Skating Center to provide opportunites for family recreation.
EDUCATION--McLeod Enterprises operate 3 Sylvan Learning Franchises in Roanoke, the New River Valley and Charlottesville. Sylvan is the largest child education franchise in the U.S. with over 1000 franchises. McLeod Enterprises also purchased the franchise known as ACE IT! (by Sylvan). ACE IT! provides supplemental education to elementary, middle and high school children.
REAL ESTATE--McLeod Enterprises operates several enterprises in the residential and commercial real estate markets. While most of it's property is in the Roanoke Virginia area, it has several properties in other areas of Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. The real estate segment has a vibrant property acquisition program for both residental and commerical properties.
FINANCIAL SERVICES--The financial services segment currently provides financial management services to all entities within the McLeod Enterprises group. Financial services include accounting, budget, financing, taxation, cash and investment management to over 15 entities.
PHILANTHROPY-- In 1989 the McLeod Family Foundation was formed. It's mission is to provide resources to help children and families in need in the Roanoke Valley.
In 2009, the HoneyTree Foundation was formed. It's purpose is to promote accredited child care programs and to assist families in expanding their parenting skills. This includes family financial management.
